Telecommuting from South Africa

View from our room near Cape Town

Late October 2005 found us at the Steenberg Hotel, a small hotel and winery in the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa. This was the view from our suite to the adjacent vineyard and the Steenberg mountain beyond. Sitting next to the porch we were able to work using our notebook computer and glance up at the view every once in a while. When we needed to download or send emails or search the web, we took advantage of the Hotel’s complimentary Internet connection and desk top computer in the library.
